PULISIC RUNS AT RODON
Who bodychecks him. Free-kick USA, 30 yards out, right of centre; Pulisic will swing it out...

AWAY WE GO
It's still pretty warm in Qatar, 73 degrees fahrenheit, but there's a breeze.

GOODNESS ME
I think every single Wales fan is in a replica top - and lots of them are in bucket hats too.

But keep politics out of football.

HERE COME OUR TEAMS!
There's an inflatable trophy on the centre-spot. I'm not sure how we managed all those years without such thing.

USA'S CENTRE-FORWARD
Timothy Weah is George's son. The great man never got to play in a World Cup, but dearie me, he was some player.

LOOKING MORE CLOSELY AT WALES
They will be a threat in behind. Daniel James is full of confidence at the moment and Aaron Ramsey is a natural scorer and provider, while Bale is just a freak of nature. I don't much like the look of their defence, though, and if USA can get some overloads out wide, they could be in trouble.

"THE LOWS ARE LOW BUT THE HIGHS ARE RIDICULOUS"
I love that line from Robert Page. That's our football!

THE MORE I THINK ABOUT IT
The more I fancy USA for this one. They've an extra man in midfield, have better athletes in that area too, and in Pulisic and Sargent have proper thrust out wide.

BRENDEN AARONSON
I'm not surprised he's not starting because I think the midfield three that is is Gregg Berhalter's preferred combination. But I'm certain he'd improve things, and I'd not be surprised to see him make a difference in the last half-hour.
