So Webber fastest in FP2 which saw plenty of spills and frustrations. Thanks for joining us and be sure to stop by for live text coverage this time tomorrow as the final FP session is followed by LIVE qualfying.

90'

The flag brings practice to an end as Petrov spins his Caterham at the first corner of the grid re-start.

88'

Hamilton getting positive feedback from the garage on his long run pace, which is running quicker than Vettel at the moment, and traffic is limiting progress for any of the remaining drivers as the session winds down.

86'

Raikkonen is able to head out after all for the closing stages on a low-fuel test run.

84'

Massa has switched to hard rubber after wearing his tyres down big time, leading to the recent struggles.

82'

Track is now all clear again after the Schumacher thud with eight minutes left.

80'

Vettel reports issues on the team radio as Massa struggles at Degner.

78'

Replays show Schu's crash is almost identical to the di Resta mistake.

76'

Vettel is 11 laps into his long stint, Webber on seven... and Schumacher has gone into the Spoon curve barriers.

74'

Webber remains fastest on 1'32.493 ahead of Hamilton, Vettel, Hulkenberg, Alonso, Grosjean.

72'

He will at least get more than Raikkonen, who remains stuck in the garage thanks to KERS repairs.

70'

Schumacher's chances of a long run in this session are dwindling as he heads out for the final minutes.

68'

Hamilton is staying with soft rubber as Rosberg on lap seven is told by HQ to cool his rear tyres as they are well above target.

66'

Webber fastest at present with 1'32.493 as he returns for a long drive, as does Button with hard tyres to test with a heavy car.

64'

A cluster of returns to the circuit now for what appears to be long runs for durability testing. Rosberg moves to 13th on 1'34.254.

62'

Rosberg, still on hard compounds, is foregoing the common strategy on those tyres of speed-slow-speed and building gradually in pace. Vettel back for run number five and it looks to be high fuel preparation time.

60'

Three laps at a time appears to be the general Red Bull strategy as Webber like Vettel goes for just the one flying lap on soft tyres.

58'

Hamilton pits as quickly as he came out and took the fastest time as Grosjean re-emerges and Schumacher clocks a disappointing 1'33.750 on softs.

56'

Schumacher and de la Rosa head back out.

54'

Hamilton blitzes the early sectors and can weather a slower finish to the lap to still take top billing with 1'32.707.

52'

Hamilton is one of the last to switch to soft rubber as Lotus continue to work on Raikkonen's KERS issues.

50'

The field spread is distored by the gradual switch from hard to soft by the drivers one by one, but the top five are separated by little over a second.

48'

Grosjean is finding consistency on the flying laps with the softer tyres but Vettel laps a 1'32.836 to move above Romain post-tyre-switch.

46'

Vettel returns for run number four and immediately gets the fifth fastest time as Rosberg retreats once more.

44'

Massa moves to third fastest on the softs as Grosjean sets the new standard with 1'33.107 also with the softer tyres.

42'

Schumacher finally joins in the fun and goes 13th with 1'35.201. Rosberg is back involved after an engine change and will drive an installation lap.

40'

Button heads out on the softs as Vettel returns after another five-lap session. Looks like Alonso and Massa are making the compound switch too.

38'

Kobayashi has switched to softs on his Sauber while Webber returns to the track for a timed lap, still with hard tyres.

36'

Vettel now trims the standard to 1'33.961 as his strategy of a full-throttle lap followed by a slower lap to cool the compound, then back to speed is working well.

34'

Alonso re-emerges on a durability test with the harder set and Vettel times a 1'34.080 to edge to the top.

32'

Vettel begins his third run of the session as Massa switches to option rubber. Petrov and de la Rosa have improved their times nearer the bottom end of the scale.

30'

Di Resta on his crash ending his session after six minutes: "It's completely down to me. I was being quite ambitious early on and found myself with two tyres in the grass. It was frustrating but the responsibility is mine."

28'

Petrov is the first man to take to the soft rubber after a number of cars lock up at the final chicane.

26'

Grosjean can only finish third fastest with 1'34.259 his best.

24'

Kobayashi hasn't had the best of times early on and brings his Sauber back to the team for checks. Grosjean is getting good times in the early parts of his laps.

22'

As Raikkonen carefully exits his car at the garage to avoid a shock from the failed KERS, Button - fastest in FP1 - goes top of the shop with 1'34.150 with Webber not far behind in second, .038 behind.

20'

Hamilton remains close to leader Alonso with an improved lap of his own, recording 1'34.304. Vettel completes his planned five-lap run having been stopped at three by the di Resta crash.

18'

Raikkonen is summoned back to the garage after reporting KERS problems with his Lotus as Alonso trims his best to 1'34.287.

16'

No Schumacher so far as the team make tweaks and reviews in the garage. Hamilton speeds to second-fastest, a tenth of a second or so behind Alonso.

14'

Alonso flies to the top of the early timings on his fresh hard tyres with 1'34.287. He struggled late on in FP1, stubbornly seeing out the initial set of tyres.

12'

Button and Alonso are among those straight back out. Vettel, Senna and Webber too now.

10'

The session has now restarted.

8'

Di Resta is going to the medical centre as a precaution. A tractor unit lifts his car away. Replays show the Scottish driver caught the dirt with his right-hand wheels in his very first lap of the session.

6'

The session has been red flagged as di Resta steps out unharmed. I counted 17 drivers out within the opening minutes for a run.

5'

Di Resta has hit a barrier and messed up his front wing on the Force India. Horrible start.

4'

Vergne and then Perez waste no time timing laps with the latter now an early leader with 1'35.374.

3'

2'

Jenson Button clocked the fastest time in the opening session earlier today, with outgoing team-mate at McLaren Lewis Hamilton second and Sebastian Vettel wholly unconcerned that he was 17th after spending his time mostly running tests.

1'

There's the green light and another 90 minutes of practice has begun.
