Hall fends off 17-year-old freestyle prodigy to claim World Cup win
Alexander Hall held off the challenge of 17-year-old Canadian freestyle skiing prodigy Phillipe Langevin to claim gold in the slopestyle World Cup in Font Romeu.
Langevin, who was making his tenth World Cup appearance, couldn't match the effort of the American who posted a winning score of 92.11 to claim only his second World Cup victory.
Langevin earned his first career World Cup podium with a score of 90.27 to finish ahead of Switzerland's Andri Ragettli in bronze.
PyeongChang Olympic silver medallist Nick Goepper could only manage a 12th-place finish with fellow American skier Mac Forehand taking fifth.
