Ten in a row for Mikael Kingsbury on path to PyeongChang

The Canadian skiing legend now has ten successive World Cup wins to his name in a run dating back to last season, also winning this campaign's opener in Ruka.

Almost unmatchable in his field, this victory was closer than some have come to expect of the 25-year-old, though his 85.94 points were enough to take top spot in China.

Second place went to Kazakhstan's Dmitriy Reiherd, just a point off the pace on 84.92, while Matt Graham of Australia – who took silver in Thursday's first race behind Kingsbury – had to settle for bronze this time around.

For Kingsbury, this is all despite problems even before he arrived on the snow, with his luggage and skis lost in transit before showing up just one day before training started en route to his 45th World Cup medal.

The women's race saw a moment of personal and national history made as Yulia Galysheva ended Kazakhstan's three-year wait for a win on the circuit.

Having finished second in Thursday's race, Galysheva had already enjoyed a strong week but took that to another level for her next attempt, finishing with a score of 80.88.

Silver went to Jaelin Kauf on 80.08 points, just 0.05 ahead of Canada's Andi Naude who did enough to secure the bronze medal.
