Zach Johnson made an unfortunate gaffe on 13th tee at the Masters and left his playing partners in stitches.

Johnson accidentally struck the ball on the 13th tee while going through his pre-shot routine during the second round of the Masters.

The 2007 champion was practising his swing, but he ended up getting a little too close and clipped it which ended up bouncing off a tee marker.

Despite his pride being hurt, Johnson did not incur a penalty and he ended up making a birdie.

Speaking about the incident, Johnson said:

" That's a first. I thought I had done it all but now I know I've done it all. I actually hit a really good tee shot after that, so I think I recovered nicely."
