Tiger Woods posts 68 to finish strongly

The hugely experienced golfer, who has struggled with his form for years after being the dominant figure in golf for a decade, made five birdies in his first 10 holes on Sunday morning.

After a struggle just after the halfway point of the course - when he found the water hazard on the twelfth hole - he managed to rescue the situation with an incredible five-wood shot onto the green, when things appeared to be deteriorating quickly. After completing his round, he finished eight under for the tournament, which left him outside the top 20.

Woods was pleased with his performance, seeing signs of a significant improvement. After the round, he said, "My short game is starting to come back to where it used to be. Everything is kind of trending in the correct direction now."
