Zagreb and Kiel share draw

The Croatian side had led 13-12 at half-time, but Kiel ultimately did enough to end the evening all-square and give themselves a fantastic chance of progressing to the semi-finals after the second leg in Germany.

Spanish side Ciudad Real won 29-24 in the home leg of their match against Veszprem of Hungary.

Ciudad Real had led 15-12 at the midway point of the match, and increased their margin of victory by the end to put pressure on Veszprem ahead of the April 4 return match.

Zagreb and Kiel will also contest their second leg on that date.
