NHL notebook: Vesey gets 2-year deal from Rangers

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Vesey is expected to make
$2.275 million per season, according to multiple reports.

Vesey, 25, posted a career-high 17 goals and added 11 assists last season. As
a rookie in 2016-17, he had 16 goals and 11 assists.

Vesey joined the Rangers in 2016 after not re-signing with the Nashville
Predators, who held his draft rights after selecting him in the third round in
2012. Vesey won the Hobey Baker Award as college's top player with Harvard in
2015-16.

--The New York Islanders and restricted free agent defenseman Ryan Pulock
agreed to a new two-year contract.

Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.

Pulock, 23, enjoyed a breakout 2017-18 season, scoring 10 goals and 22 assists
in 68 games. The No. 15 pick in the 2013 NHL Draft had played in only 16 NHL
games prior to last season, totaling two goals and two assists.

--The New Jersey Devils have signed restricted free agent forwards Blake
Coleman and Stefan Noesen to new contracts.

Coleman will make $1.8 annually on a three-year deal, while Noesen signed a
one-year deal for $1.725 million. Both players had elected salary arbitration,
but their scheduled hearings -- July 22 for Coleman, Aug. 1 for Noesen -- will
no longer be necessary.

Coleman, 26, had 13 goals and 12 assists in 79 games last season. Noesen, 25,
had 13 goals and 14 assists in 72 games in 2017-18, his first full year with
the Devils after they claimed him off waivers in January 2017.

--The Pittsburgh Penguins re-signed three restricted free agents -- forwards
Teddy Blueger and Thomas Di Pauli and defenseman Ethan Prow -- each to
one-year contracts.

All three contracts are two-way deals with an average annual NHL value of
$650,000.

All three played for American Hockey League affiliate Wilkes-Barre/Scranton
last season. Blueger, 23, had 21 goals and 24 assists in 70 games. Di Pauli,
24, had 12 goals and eight assists. Prow had four goals and 13 assists in 40
games, setting career highs in goals and points.
