NHL roundup: Boston's Pastrnak nets hat trick

David Pastrnak had his first career playoff hat trick as the Boston Bruins took a 2-0 series lead with a 7-3 win over the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals Saturday night.

Pastrnak also had three assists, giving him a new personal high for points in
a game, regular season or Stanley Cup playoffs. He now has four goals this
postseason after he scored once in Boston's Game 1 victory.
David Krejci, Jake DeBrusk, Kevan Miller and Rick Nash also scored goals and
Tuukka Rask made 30 saves for Boston, which has outscored Toronto 12-4 in the
series.
Mitchell Marner, Tyler Bozak and James van Riemsdyk scored for Toronto. Leafs
goalie Frederik Andersen allowed three goals on five shots before he was
replaced in the first period by backup Curtis McElhinney (19 saves).
Lightning 5, Devils 3
Nikita Kucherov recorded a goal and two assists, leading Tampa Bay to a
victory over visiting New Jersey. The Lightning own a 2-0 lead in the
best-of-seven Eastern Conference first-round series.
Kucherov recorded his seventh career three-point playoff game. His goal was
his 24th postseason tally, tying Vincent Lecavalier for the second-most in
Tampa Bay's playoff history.
Alex Killorn started and ended Tampa Bay's four-goal flurry in the second
period with a pair of power-play tallies. Brayden Point recorded a goal and
assist and Tyler Johnson added a goal for the Lighting, who got 41 saves from
Andrei Vasilevskiy. Nico Hischier, Sami Vatanen and Blake Coleman scored for
New Jersey.
Predators 5, Avalanche 4
Five different players scored and goalie Pekka Rinne recovered from
surrendering a goal on the first shot he faced to make 26 saves as Nashville
beat visiting Colorado for a 2-0 lead in an opening-round Western Conference
playoff series.
Kevin Fiala, Viktor Arvidsson, Ryan Johansen, Austin Watson and Ryan Watson
found the net for the Predators. Fiala added an assist while Mattias Ekholm
and P.K. Subban had two assists apiece.
Colorado got goals from Gabriel Bourque, Nathan MacKinnon, Gabriel Landeskog
and Alexander Kerfoot. Avalanche goalie Jonathan Bernier stopped 28 shots.
