Blackhawks extend Kruger contract - NHL Round Up

The Chicago Blackhawks extended the contract of forward Marcus Kruger for three years through the 2018-19 season on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old Kruger had one assist in 33 games this season before going on injured reserve Dec. 28.

The Tampa Bay Lightning recalled defenseman Luke Witkowski from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League, the team announced.
Witkowski, 25, has appeared in four games with Tampa Bay this season and had four penalty minutes. He has played in 20 career NHL games without scoring a point.

The Toronto Maple Leafs recalled defenseman Viktor Loov from the Toronto Marlies on an emergency basis, the club announced.
Loov, 23, had two assists in four games with Toronto earlier this season. He has 15 points (three goals, 12 assists) in 53 games with the Marlies.

The Winnipeg Jets recalled forward Scott Kosmachuk from the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League, the team announced.
The move was done on an emergency basis. Kosmachuk, 22, has 27 points (14 goals, 13 assists) in 59 games for Manitoba this season.
