Danica Patrick showed that Ganassi have not stolen any significant advantage over Andrett-Green Racing over the winter as she topped the second day of IRL IndyCar Series testing at Homestead.
The 25-year-old American had been struggling with an illness for the past few days, but put her bad feelings behind her to set the pace in 25.077 seconds during the five-hour night session.
"It's kind of nuts to skip a day and then go out there and be quickest, but we were struggling with the race car," Patrick said.
"Until the very end of the day, we were really pushing to figure it out. We definitely didn't have it down. At the end of the day, we're all walking away pretty happy."
In all, Patrick lapped 186 times, but her mark, which was set early on, was good enough to fend off the expected big hitters.
Penske newcomer Ryan Briscoe was less than two hundredths of a second slower than Patrick, while Britain's Dan Wheldon was third fastest for Ganassi, albeit slower than he managed 24 hours earlier.
AJ Foyt IV was again impressive in fourth place for Vision Racing, while Wheldon's team-mate Scott Dixon completed the top five.
Hideki Mutoh, who was having his second day of running for AGR after being confirmed as the replacement for champion Dario Franchitti in the team, was sixth fastest with Helio Castroneves seventh for Penske.
Tony Kanaan - the 2004 champion - was eighth for AGR while Americans Ed Carpenter and Marco Andretti completed the top ten for Vision and AGR.
With a couple of extra cars on the track compared to on day one, Britain's Darren Manning dropped to 15th on the timesheets in his Foyt car.
