Japan win double gold

Japan landed double gold in the judo hall at the Olympics on Friday to take their final medal count for the tournament to a record eight golds and two silvers. Maki Tsukada was the first to strike when she won the women's over 78kg category, beating Cuba'
A few minutes later Keiji Suzuki beat Russia's Tamerlan Tmenov in the final of the men's over 100kg division.
The victories meant Japan easily surpassed their previous best judo gold medal haul of four achieved both in Sydney and Los Angeles.
In the battles for the minor placings on Friday, Dennis van der Geest of the Netherlands produced a superb throw to defeat Iran's Seyed Miran Fashandi to take a bronze medal.
Estonia's Indrek Pertelson also landed bronze after defeating Italy's Paulo Bianchessi.
In the women's contest, Russia's Tea Dongouzashvili, a world championship bronze medallist last year, beat Insaf Yahtaoui of Tunisia for bronze.
World champion Sun Fuming of China also had to settle for bronze, beating Ukraine's Maryna Prokofyeva in less than a minute with a shoulder throw.
