Germany secured an impressive clean sweep of medals at the Luge World Cup in Innsbruck as four-time Olympic champion Natalie Geisenberger clinched gold.

The 30-year-old reigning women's singles gold medallist held off the challenge of her compatriots to take the first Luge World Cup title of the season in Austria.
Geisenberger, a seven-time world champion, completed the course in 1:19.619 to top the podium and narrowly edge out 22-year-old Julia Taubitz into second by just 0.036 seconds.
Vancouver 2010 champion Tatjana Hufner secured bronze by completing the circuit in 1:19.885 as Russian Tatyana Ivanova finished narrowly outside the medal places.
