Jonathan Rea takes race one win in Rimini
Jonathan Rea took the win in the opening race of the Riviera di Rimini round, beating Chaz Davies and Eugene Laverty into second and third respectively.
The Kawasaki rider had started in second place on the front row, just behind team-mate Tom Sykes by a margin of 0.033 seconds.
But he made up that deficit and led the race to the end, comfortably extending his advantage to four seconds by the time he crossed the line.
Ducati's Chaz Davies took second, ahead of Aprilia's Eugene Laverty in third.
Alex Lowes of Yamaha was forced to retire after a crash.
