Delight for Team SRC Kawasaki France as Jeremy Guarnoni seals victory at Le Mans 24 Hours

Jeremy Guarnoni fired Team SRC Kawasaki France to a first victory in three years at Le Mans 24 Hours after a dramatic finish on Sunday.

Heading into the final hour, Team SRC Kawasaki France were locked in a three-way battle with Honda Endurance Racing and Suzuki Endurance Racing Team.

But it appeared that Honda would celebrate the win when Yonny Hernandez established a lead at the front, only for a safety car to be deployed with 14 minutes remaining after a crash for bike 101.

Guarnoni - on bike number 11 - hit the front in the final five minutes of a pulsating climax, and he held on for the win as Honda's Hernandez and Suzuki's Gregg Black were forced to settle for podium finishes.
