So, tomorrow's starting grid will be made up from the combined free practice results with Jorge Lorenzo on pole, Valentino Rossi second and Nicky Hayden third
It's official folks, QUALIFICATION HAS DEFINITELY BEEN CANCELLED. The rain does not look like it's going anywhere and even if it were to stop unexpectedly there is so much standing water that even the safety car has been struggling on the couple of laps that it's completed so far today
We'll keep you updated with news as and when it comes in but in the meant time why not go and make yourself a cup of tea and come back in 10 minutes when we should have further news for you!
One other note, the persistent rain has meant that qualification for the 125cc was postponed and will now take place at 16:05 local time, 15:05 UK time, after the MotoGP and Moto2. Although obviously that's looking less and less likely as the rain continues to get heavier and everything else is pushed further back
If you didn't happen to see any of free practice three earlier this morning, you can have a read of the report
It's been pretty wet all weekend but so far the man to deal with that best has been Jorge Lorenzo, who went fastest in both free practice two and three after most of the big name riders sat out yesterday morning's storm battered free practice one
In fact it has been decided that the weather is so bad that qualification has been delayed until at least 14:30 UK time when a further decision will be taken about whether or not things can get underway
The weather is currently horrendous in Estoril with the few spectators at the track struggling to keep their umbrellas upright and stop them from turning inside out as the rain lashes down and the wind blows
