With wind, fog and wet conditions creating a tough environment, Jan Schmid, Espen Anderson, Magnus Riiber and Joergen Graabak all jumped over 100 metres to assert Norway’s dominance.
And they held on in the race to finish by a commanding 13.1 seconds clear of Germany, who rebounded from a disappointing jumping display to claim silver.
Finland, who sat second heading into the race, claimed third as they and Germany held off home favourites France to complete the podium.
Norway controlled the race out front while the action followed behind but young France star Maxime Laheurte lost touch with the front runners and faded.
Vinzenz Geiger’s assured final leg secured second for Germany, while the Finland team erupted in joy at the finish line as they took their first World Cup podium since 2007.
Japan finished fifth, ahead of Italy, Austria and Poland.
