Double Olympic champion Rydzek takes World Cup win

Double Olympic champion Johannes Rydzek produced a masterful display to win the 10km individual event at the Nordic Combined World Cup in Val di Fiemme.
The German, who took home team and individual golds in PyeongChang, finished 5.9 seconds clear of Norwegian Joergen Graabak to give him a winning overall time of 26:58.4 in Italy.
He finished fifth overall in the ski jumping and ninth in the cross-country.
Austria's Mario Seidl, an Olympic bronze medallist, had led after the ski jumping, scoring 143.3 points, but had to settle for third overall after coming 23rd in the cross country.
World Cup leader Jarl Magnus Riiber took fourth, after ranking second in the jumping but 18th in the cross country, while Japan Akito Watabe was fifth almost 30 seconds behind the winner.
Posting the fastest time in the cross country, 25:47.1, was Germany's Fabian Riessle – who finished in 13th place overall.
