Riiber claims fourth straight World Cup win in Ramsau

Jarl Magnus Riiber maintained his unbeaten run by claiming a fourth consecutive World Cup win in the Nordic Combined in Ramsau am Dachstein.

The 21-year-old from Norway posted a time of 23:46.5 in the 10-kilometre cross-country race to triumph by 2.3 seconds over Austria's Franz-Josef Rehrl.
Fabian Riessle of Germany took third place for his second World Cup podium finish in the Nordic Combined this season, trailing Riiber by 19.1 seconds.
The victory for Riiber followed his hat-trick of successes at the inaugural Lillehammer Triple and extended his advantage at the top of the overall World Cup standings to 480 points.
His nearest challenger in the overall standings, Austrian Mario Seidl, finished ninth while Germany's Johannes Rydzek is up to third after just missing out on the podium in Ramsau.
It was not all smooth sailing for the Winter Olympic silver medallist, though, with the competition jump being stopped before he could go due to the weather.
Eric Frenzel was also unable to jump, which meant the provisional competition jump (PCR), won by Rehrl on Friday, was used instead to determine the starts for the cross-country race.
