Olympics Rio 2016: Team GB women outclassed by New Zealand in rugby sevens semi-final

Team GB's hopes for a gold medal in the women's rugby sevens tournament were ended on Monday after they were outclassed by New Zealand 25-7.
It was a disappointing result for the GB team who, despite only having trained together since October last year, had performed well in the earlier stages. GB topped Pool C with a higher points tally of 88 to Pool B's New Zealand on 85.
But two yellow cards - shown to Katy McLean and Amy Wilson-Hardy - reduced Britain to five players for a period just before half-time, which proved fatal to their hopes.
Alice Richardson had ran over for a try for Britain to level in the early stages but New Zealand capitalised on their numerical superiority.
The British squad, which consisted predominantly of England players, included several members of the 2014 World Cup winning squad, including Emily Scarratt, and were tipped for success at the Games.
Team GB will now take on Canada - runners up in the 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup - to compete for a bronze medal, later on Monday.
