Ireland won the Triple Crown with a dramatic 28-24 defeat of England earned after winger Shane Horgan scored his second try with less than 90 seconds to play on Saturday. Ireland end with eight points, equal with France who claim their 15th Six Nations ti

Ireland dominated the first half, to lead 11-8 at the break, although it was England who scored first, a try in the second minute by centre Jamie Noon.

England had conceded a soft try in the first minute during their 31-6 humiliation by France last weekend but this time a classic backline move ended with Noon plunging over.

England took the lead back in the second half after a prolonged period of pressure when lock Steve Borthwick roared through a hole in the Irish defence to score under the posts.

Ireland replied swiftly, a basketball-like juggle at a lineout near the England line allowing Denis Leamy to plunge over for a 21-18 lead.
