Toulon have reacted with anger after learning that fly-half Frederic Michalak will be out for six to eight weeks.

France's Frederic Michalak (C) fights for the ball with Scotland's Alasdair Strokosch (2ndL) and Scotland's Kelly Brown (R) as France's Thierry Dusautoir (2ndR) looks on during their Six Nations rugby union match at the Stade de France

The French fly-half was injured during the Six Nations clash against Scotland and Toulon president Mourad Boudjellal was particularly irritated that he would not be compensated by the French Federation.
"It is not normal that players of the team of France are not covered by insurance taken out by the French Rugby Federation," he told AFP.
"The system is absurd because I get an injured player and it is up to me to pay the difference between what social security pay (a maximum of 4,000 euros a month) and all of his salary.
"I was not invited to the game. I was just asked to pay his salary."
