"It's incredible, but Lars has been on the podium before and been growing up a lot mentally," said the Norwegian national coach Mika Kojonkoski after the win.
"He's more consistent, has grown up, is a stronger person and you need to have all of that to able to constantly work at the highest level."
Janda's second place in Innsbruck allowed the Czech to overtake defending champion Janne Ahonen in the overall standings.
Janda sits on 790.5 points - two ahead of Ahonen - with Norwegian Roar Ljoekelsoey third on 775.1 points.
