Ski jumping World Cup champion Peter Prevc missed out on a 14th win of the season on Saturday.
The Slovenian superstar was upstaged by Norway's Johann Andre Forfang at Titisee-Neustadt, Forrfang's leaps of 144m and 143m proving too much to match for the all-conquering Prevc.
Forfang's compatrior Kenneth Gagnes was third, denying Prevc's younger brother Domen a podium finish, with Severin Freund fifth.
It was the first victory of Forfang's career, thanks to two near-perfect jumps.
"For me it was a great competition, others had some bad luck with the conditions," said the victorious Forfang.
"I'm really looking forward to Planica next week. I love ski flying. It's awesome to be a part of this Norwegian team."
