Norwegian skier goes viral after using jet thruster

Ever found yourself itching to try cross-country skiing, then realise you’re too lazy to actually hit the snowy tracks for real?

Well, this pursuit could be for you.

A video of a Norwegian woman propelling herself on skis with a jet thruster has taken the internet by storm. Using a handheld battery-powered jet, she reached whopping speeds of 53 mph (86 kph) in an awesome video.

According to a past report, the equipment is intended for the mass market.

Producers Dreamscience have tentatively slapped an initial $10,000 (£7,200) price tag on the thrusters – hardly cheap, but hopefully affordable enough to hire in the future.
