Luca Brecel has continued his fairytale run at the Grand Finals of the World Series of Snooker in Portugal with a 5-3 victory over Ken Doherty securing his place in the quarter-finals finals.

The 14-year-old Belgian sensation, who became the youngest ever winner of the European U19 title earlier this year, had won all of his matches in the opening 'six reds' group including a 4-3 win over Jimmy White.
Brecel will now face former world champion Graeme Dott in the last eight.
Jimmy White did qualify for the second round but then lost 5-4 to Steve Davis which ended his run in the Algarve.
On Friday, beaten World Championship finalist Shaun Murphy defeated Ryan Day 5-1 to set up a quarter-final showdown with Mark Selby.
Meanwhile, world number two Stephen Maguire eased past Jersey player Gary Britton 5-2 to also advance to the last eight.
