Murphy was never behind as he completed a 5-2 win.
The Dane fell two frames behind before hitting 85 to pull one back, but after five frames was 3-2 down with the match in the balance.
A 71-47 sixth frame win left Murphy needing just one more to qualify and he ended with an assured 63-0.

Selby's final-frame 98 sinks Hawkins in decider

Selby took the first frame but then trailed 2-1 before a break of 95 helped him regain the lead.
Hawkins leveled at 3-3 before the pair one a frame apiece to set up the decider, and it was Selby who sunk 98 to advance to the last four.
Joe Perry was knocked out of the China Championship against Hossein Vafaei while Mark Williams eased by David Gilbert to reach the semi-finals.
Perry defeated world number one Judd Trump in an impressive 5-2 victory on Thursday, but he could not find his way past Vafaei, who put together runs of 104, 71 and 66.
The Iranian completed a 5-3 win to reach the semi-finals, and kickstarted his win with a break of 104 in the first frame.

A 134 in frame three saw the Gentleman take a 3-2 lead but Vafaei reeled off the next three frames to progress to a third ranking event semi-final of his career.
Williams found his way to the semi-finals in a much more one-sided match against Gilbert.
There was a false dawn for his opponent when he won the first frame 83-16, but four frames of consistently high breaks - 63, 93, 56 and 71 - teed him up to take the sixth frame and run out a 5-1 winner.
