David John, Yu Delu and Cao Yupeng have been suspended by The World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) as the governing body looked into allegations of match fixing, made against the trio.
In a statement issued by the WPBSA, its chairman Jason Ferguson said the decision to do so had not been taken lightly, adding: "However, the WPBSA has a duty of care to ensure that snooker's global integrity is securely preserved.
“Therefore my decision is to remove any question marks over the sport during the time it takes to bring these matters to formal proceedings."
Though Welshman John, 33, no longer plays at professional level, the allegations date back to 2016, investigations into which John is said to have failed to fully co-operate with.
Meanwhile Yu,30, who is ranked 43rd in the world, is accused of fixing five matches since 2015, failing to report two approaches to fix a match, betting on snooker and failing to fully co-operate with the subsequent inquiry.
Cao, 27, ranked 38th in the world is accused of fixing the outcome of three matches in 2016 and failing to fully co-operate with the inquiry.
The players will remain suspended until formal hearings have taken place and the outcome of those has been reached, though the three players may appeal the decision.
No date has been set for the hearings, as yet.
