Ding Junhui delighted a partisan home crowd who cheered him on to a 6-3 victory over Mark Allen to grab a quarter-final place at the Shanghai Masters.
China's number one recovered from a 3-1 deficit, winning five frames in a row with breaks of 138, 90, 88 and 75 to secure the win, and a clash in the next round with Mark Selby.
"I played well in the second half of the match and played a very aggressive game," Ding said afterwards. "I created chances with my long potting and put pressure on my opponent. It was one-visit snooker. I wasn’t thinking during the match so I managed to keep a quick rhythm."
Selby also came from behind to win his match, coming back from 5-3 down against Zhou Yuelong and winning three consecutive frames to move into the next round.
Elsewhere, Kyren Wilson beat Judd Trump 6-2, while Barry Hawkins beat Stephen Maguire 6-3.
