Ronnie O'Sullivan beat Zhou Yuelong 4-1 to secure his place in the quarter-finals at the Northern Ireland Open in Belfast.

World number one Mark Selby joined him by beating Martin O'Donnell 4-2.

Earlier in the day, O'Sullivan had eased past Tom Ford 4-0 in their third-round clash, while Selby had continued his imperious form with a whitewash of Hamza Akbar at the Northern Ireland Open in Belfast.

The Jester from Leicester compiled breaks of 86, 101, 67 and 122 in a consummate win against world number 102 Akbar.

Like O'Sullivan, prior to today Selby had dropped just one frame this week in Belfast.

Peter Ebdon concluded his fourth-round match against Li Hang with a magnificent century, progressing 4-1.

Judd Trump is also through to the next round after a 4-2 victory over Luca Brecel.

Trump opened with a brilliant 71 before Brecel drew level thanks to a slice of luck in the second.

The Belgian went 2-1 up with a break of 82 before Trump levelled and then moved one clear with a century break of 115.

And he finished things off to book his place in the last eight.
