Zizzy45 asks: Have you ever got bored of the game? If so, how do you recover and bounce back?
Mark Selby: I've never really got bored of the game to be honest. Whenever I have felt even a hint of boredom I just say to myself: 'What else would you be doing if you were not a snooker player?' I get paid to do something I love, which also gives me an opportunity to travel all over the world - so I know I am very lucky.
Ahmed Al-Faris asks: Hi Mark, why do players tap rapidly on the table with their middle finger before and after a shot?
MS: I'm not too sure Ahmed - I think it might be a nervous reaction. I would have to ask other players why they do it. Some might do it to help their concentration. Not every player does it and interestingly I used to do it but don't anymore - and I have no idea why I stopped.
Arkmao asks: How do you think they can develop and promote snooker to the younger generation?
MS: I think they are starting to focus their advertising and promotional campaigns a bit more, which is a good idea. Things like the 'Hot Shots' promotion which I'm involved in can help because all of us who are involved are 25 or younger.
Bobf1983 asks: I've heard that you were a pool player. Why did you change to snooker? Do you think your background as a pool player helped?
MS: I'm not sure how much my pool background helped. Basically I started playing snooker because I enjoyed the game a lot more. Obviously when I was younger there was also the issue of money, there was a lot more to be made in snooker. But now the reason I focus on snooker is because I love it so much.
Marielle_rosendaal asks: Are you a Quentin Tarantino fan?
MS: No - I'm more into comedy films.
Charlotte j asks: If you're not playing snooker, what other sports do you play when you have spare time?
MS: I play a bit of table tennis if there is a table knocking around. I also play a little bit of darts too. I'm not too clever at football though!
V.natalie asks: Do you think you'll still be playing snooker when you're 40?
MS: I hope so, as I don't know what else I would do!
