Stuart Bingham sinks Liang Wenbo to reach semi-finals, Ryan Day beats John Higgins

Stuart Bingham booked his place in the last four of the Romanian Masters with a 4-1 win over Liang Wenbo in Bucharest.
2015 world champion enjoyed breaks of 83 and 60 with world number 19 Wenbo compiling 54 and 85 in tumbling out of the invitational tournament.
Two-times world championship finalist Ali Carter overcame former UK champion Stephen Maguire in the final frame having led 3-1 with knocks of 83 and a 136.
Despite forcing the decider, Carter kept his composure to progress to a meeting with Bingham in the semi-finals.
He will face Bingham on Saturday for a place in the final.
In the first of the late quarter-finals Ryan Day comfortably saw off Welsh Open champion John Higgins 4-1.
Day edged a tight opening frame before knocking in a break of 64 to double his lead.
Higgins responded with a break of 70 to reduce the deficit but Day restored his lead by taking the fourth.
And the Welshman, who recently won the Gibraltar Open, wrapped up victory with a break of 86 to secure a 4-1 win.
Judd Trump suffered a 4-2 defeat to Kyren Wilson in the final quarter-final of the day. Wilson contributed 95, 56 and 84 with Trump making 59 in leading 2-1 before Wilson responded to set up a semi-final meeting with Day.
The world's top 16 are in Llandudno for the Players Championship next week as they gear up for next month's World Championship in Sheffield.
