Rising Australian star Neil Robertson underlined his reputation as one of the game's top potters as he beat Steve Davis 6-3 in the semi-finals of the Welsh Open in Newport.
The 25-year-old, who won the 2006 Royal London Watches Grand Prix, won four frames in a row to take command after the six-time world champion took the opener.
The Melbourne Machine had breaks of 41, 70, 109 and 79 in a hugely impressive spell.
A 54 clearance from 49-year-old Davis kept his hopes alive only for the provisional world number 11 to claim a scrappy seventh frame.
The Nugget rattled in a 91 break in almost exhibition style to reduce arrears to two frames once more.
However Cambridge based Robertson duly wrapped up the match in the next frame to set up a meeting in Sunday's final with either Stephen Maguire or surprise package Andrew Higginson.
