Joe Perry beats Mark Williams, Stuart Bingham crashes out

Joe Perry moved through to the second round of the World Grand Prix in Preston with a 4-2 victory over Mark Williams.

Perry, the beaten Masters finalist, found himself two frames down after a quick start from Williams but he recovered to take the following four frames on the bounce.
He will face the winner of the match between Mark Selby and Martin Gould in the next round.

Elsewhere Shaun Murphy and Mark King are both through, as they beat Michael Holt (4-1) and Stephen Maguire (4-3) respectively.
In a surprise result Stuart Bingham, who reached the semi-finals of the German Masters, was knocked out 4-2 by Ryan Day.
