Johaug unstoppable in Davos

Therese Johaug continued her excellent start to the season as she grabbed a fifth consecutive win with cross-country victory in Switzerland.

Racing at Davos, the Norwegian completed the 10km course 12 seconds ahead of fellow countrywoman Ingvild Flugstad Østberg, in a time of 26:06.9.

Third place was taken by Finnish athlete Krista Pärmäkoski, 7.1 seconds behind Østberg.

After topping the podium, Johaug commented: "It’s a really tough course here in Davos and I am happy for Ingvild for her second rank.

"It's very good Ingvild took second place, she was not that far behind. We did a good job and now we are ready for a Christmas holiday.

"I am very happy to be on top of the podium but of course now I am looking forward to the Christmas break too."
