The Austrian beat France's Sylvain Dufour in the final by just 0.15s to take his overall lead to 286 points over compatriot Benjamin Karl – who finished a disappointing 14th – while Korea's Sangho Lee took third by beating Italy's Maurizio Bormolini.
Prommegger also tops the giant slalom standings after five events, with a commanding 670-point advantage over Italy's Roland Fischnaller.
The athletes head to Secret Garden next week before the parallel giant slalom season wraps up in Scuol in early March.
