Jasey Jay Anderson became the oldest rider ever to win a Snowboard World Cup event when he stormed to gold in the first men's parallel giant slalom race of the weekend in Bansko.

Jasey Jay Anderson of Canada competes in the quarter-final of the Men's Parallel Giant Slalom on day 9 of the FIS Freestyle Ski & Snowboard World Championships 2017 on March 16, 2017 in Sierra Nevada, Spain.

The 42-year-old, who won gold at the 2010 Winter Olympics, beat Switzerland's Nevin Galmarini to earn his 28th World Cup victory eight years after his previous success.
Anderson retired after his 2010 win but returned to the snow in 2014 and he will compete at the Winter Olympics next month.
"I didn't know that I still have the legs for this but I guess I still do," he said.
"Now, with the boards finally getting better, I'm looking forward to the Olympics and something big."
In the bronze medal race, Edwin Coratti beat fellow Italian Mirko Felicetti.
Elsewhere, Ester Ledecka proved again she is in top form ahead of the Winter Olympics as she stretched her lead at the top of the women's standings.
She took victory in the first of two races this weekend, as she rebounded from the cold which forced her to miss last weekend's event at Rogla.
Her opponents may have wished she was still suffering the after-effects but she took a fourth win in a row – comfortably beating Germany's Selina Joerg.
"It was a great day. I'm really happy that I was able to race again after being sick the last days. It was a lot of fighting today, and I'm happy that I was able to fight to the end," she said.
Ledecka was pushed hard by Germany's Ramona Hofmeister, who led in their semi-final before a mistake cost her a shot at victory.
However, she still beat Russia's Alena Zavarzina to third.
"It still gets me a bit angry when I think of this. I definitely threw away a better result. But finishing third did make up for it. I could get used to finish on the podium," Hofmeister said.
