Slopestyle gold for Norendal

Norwegian Silje Norendal reigned supreme on the Swiss slopes as she bagged victory in the latest round of slopestyle Snowboard World Cup action in Laax, Switzerland.
Norendal, a two-time Winter X Games slopestyle champion, registered a best effort of 78.35 as she beat off a double Swiss challenge for the gold.
Celia Petrig and Sina Candrian came second and third respectively on home hills with scores of 67.60 and 65.40.
In the snowboard slopestyle standings, Norendal is now up to third with 1,600 points as she bids to hunt down Japanese duo Miyabi Onitsuka and Reira Iwabuchi, who lead the way with 2,000 and 1,700.
