Patrick Roest and Martina Sablikova were crowned all-round speed skating world champions after dominant showings over the weekend in Calgary.
The Czech Republic's Sabilikova produced an astonishing performance with two world records across the four women's events to unseat previous world champion Miho Takagi.
Third in the women's event, which is competed across the 500m, 1,500m, 3km and 5km, was Netherlands' Antoinette de Jong.
De Jong's compatriot Roest was the stand-out star in the men's event across the 500m, 1,500m, 5km and 10km.
Roest was neck-and-neck with Norway's Sverre Lunde Pedersen throughout the two days of competition but pulled away in the final event – the 10km – to defend his title.
It was the eighth straight world all-around title by a Dutch skater as Sven Kramer, who has nine all-around crowns, had to settle for bronze this year.
