In his on-court interview John McEnroe asks Rafa if he can play better than that.
"Hopefully, yes!" says the Spaniard with that trademark, modest grin.

GAME, SET AND MATCH! - NADAL 6-2 6-4 6-0 TSITSIPAS. Nadal books his place in the final as he concludes a quite sensational display by serving out the match from deuce. He missed two make-able volleys to cough up his first break point of the match, but rapidly saves it before easing into his fifth final here - and his 25th in majors overall. The world number two brushed aside the Greek pretender in one hour and 46 minutes. He will now meet either Lucas Pouille or Novak Djokovic in Sunday's final. It's is 10 years since he won his only Australian Open title and on this form he could yet land that elusive second.

BREAK! - NADAL 6-2 6-4 5-0 TSITSIPAS. This is turning into a nightmare for Stef. Nothing is going right. He thinks a Rafa slice is going long but sees it drop in. Rafa goes on to win the point to snare triple break point. The Greek then fizzes a forehand well wide to drop serve to love. Nadal will now serve for a third-set bagel - and a place in the 2019 Australian Open final.
NADAL 6-2 6-4 4-0 TSITSIPAS. Nadal is two games away. He backs up the double break with a hold to 15. He's won seven games in a row to pretty much dismantle a young player who had seemed ready to truly push the Spaniard all the way today.

BREAK! - NADAL 6-2 6-4 3-0 TSITSIPAS. This is struggling to be a contest right now. Rafa is roaring away. Tsitsipas is trying everything, but the Spaniard has all of the answers. A stunning backhand lob secures another break opportunity, and the No.2 seed duly converts with an emphatic overhead at the second attempt.
If you're a Nadal fan, start clearing your diary for Sunday morning. He's looking all set for another Grand Slam final appearance.
NADAL 6-2 6-4 2-0 TSITSIPAS. Rafa consolidates and holds to 15 with a fifth ace of the day.

BREAK! - NADAL 6-2 6-4 1-0 TSITSIPAS. This is relentless. Nadal just won't let up and it's utterly demoralising for Tsitsipas. The Spaniard does all of the damage off his backhand, wrong-footing his opponent off that flank a couple of times to tee up three break points, before converting with a sensational crosscourt winner - his 22nd of the contest.

SET! - NADAL 6-2 6-4 TSITSIPAS. The world number two has Sunday's final in his sights. He serves out Set 2 with a love hold and it's a long way back from here for the Greek. That was a much better set from the 20-year-old, but he needs to really up the ante in the next one if he's to turn the tide.

BREAK! - NADAL 6-2 5-4 TSITSIPAS. It's the business end of the set, the time when players can really feel the heat - and it's often Rafa who prevails!
He gets the break on his second opportunity as Tsitsipas can only dump an awkward half volley into the net from Nadal's super return into his feet.
The Spaniard will now serve for a two-set lead.
