Australian Open Order of Play, Day 11 - Women's semi-finals; Tsitsipas v Nadal

All eyes are on the Greek sensation after he ended Roger Federer's title defence in such thrilling fashion. At just 20, Tsitsipas is the youngest Grand Slam semi-finalist since 2007 and he has won legions of fans, and grown his YouTube subscriber base, thanks to his entertaining brand of tennis and quirky character traits. After deposing the most prolific male Grand Slam winner in history, his next task is to tackle the second. Nadal has looked imperious in Melbourne and is yet to drop a set. In his quarter-final he dealt comfortably with another young upstart, America's Frances Tiafoe, and should have too much for Tsitsipas. But anything is possible when the young Greek is on court.

Given that neither winner of the Pliskova v Osaka match-up could accurately be described as a shock, we must turn to the second women's semi-final of the day and the match-up between Kvitova and Collins. The former is now the favourite for the title in Melbourne - and rightly so, having not dropped a set and only conceded four games in a set twice in her five matches so far. Collins, ranked 35 in the world, has been the big surprise of the women's draw in Melbourne, picking up the big scalps of Julia Gorges, Caroline Garcia and second seed Angelique Kerber in her storming run to the semi-finals. But Kvitova will be another challenge entirely...
