Jo Konta provided the biggest hint yet that she could win the Australian Open title by thrashing former world No 1 Caroline Wozniacki.
The Briton raced through to the last 16 for a second successive year in just an hour and 15 minutes with a superb display of controlled power and consistency.

Her 6-3 6-1 win means she will face Ekaterina Makarova in the last 16, and left her dodging 'awkward conversations' about her nationality.
Serena Williams also put on a masterclass, with her power proving too much for her American rival Nicole Gibbs.
The No 2 seed had a brief sticky patch when serving for the match at 5-2 but came through to set up a fourth-round clash with Barbora Strycova.
With many of the big names in the men's draw playing later in the day, it was left to No 8 seed Dominic Thiem to put on a show in his 6-1 4-6 6-4 6-4 win over Benoit Paire.

Respect

Blowing a 4-0 lead in the second set and then suffering a nasty fall which forces you to tears is not nice for anyone. But Makarova recovered to win. Incredible guts.
