Madison Keys demolishes Caroline Garcia to book last eight berth
Madison Keys continued her Australian Open progress crushing Caroline Garcia 6-3 6-2 to reach the quarter-finals in Melbourne.
The 17th-seeded American took just 68 minutes to swat aside Garcia, showing far too much power and precision for the Frenchwoman.
While Keys went for her shots, Garcia hit only nine winners in a timid performance.
Due to a wrist injury, Keys has only played two tournaments since losing the US Open final last August.
However, she has been in imperious form in Melbourne and has not dropped a set in her first four matches.
