It's Day 4 of the French Open at Roland-Garros and it's time for the likes of Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz and Aryna Sabalenka to play their second matches. What stories are set to be written on Day 4 of the French Open?

Day 3 saw Daniil Medvedev dumped out of the tournament by world No. 172 Thiago Seyboth Wild, while Iga Swiatek avoided such drama by getting past Cristina Bucsa.

Holger Rune was another to seal his progression, with Eurosport's John McEnroe labelling the Dane "the real deal", and his favourite to reach the men's final.

Now it's the turn of the likes of Novak Djokovic, world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz and Aryna Sabalenka to take centre stage, with Britain's Cameron Norrie also in action.

Top men's match - Novak Djokovic v Marton Fucsovics

Novak Djokovic has top billing on Wednesday night in Paris, as he plays the sole night match against Hungary's Marton Fucsovics.

Djokovic looked consummate in his first-round tie, beating American Aleksandar Kovacevic in straight sets, but Fucsovics - a quarter-finalist at Wimbledon in 2021 - will likely provide a tougher test.

The winner will take on either Luca van Assche or Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the third round.

Top women's match - Camila Giorgi v Jessica Pegula

Third seed Jessica Pegula might have been hoping for an easier second-round match than Camila Giorgi, a Wimbledon quarter-finalist back in 2018, and who won her first Masters 1000 title in 2021, beating Pegula on her way to the Canadian Open.

Pegula defeated American compatriot Danielle Collins in the first round, while Giorgi saw off France's Alize Cornet.

The pair are first on Philippe Chatrier on Wednesday.

Brit Watch

Only three Brits made it into the main draw at Roland-Garros, and two of those - Dan Evans and Jack Draper - went out in the first round.

Cameron Norrie is therefore the last man standing, and he plays his second-round match against Lucas Pouille after beating another Frenchman - Benoit Paire - in his first match.

Having not won a Grand Slam tie in four years, Pouille stopped that unwanted run in the first round, ending his match with a rendition of the French national anthem together with the crowd.
