Rafael Nadal no longer seen as the favourite at Roland Garros

Despite Nadal's record of unparalleled dominance at the French Open, bookmakers believe Novak Djokovic is the most likely winner this year.
No male tennis player has ever won a Grand Slam title as often as Rafael Nadal has won the French Open.
His record is simply astonishing, 66 wins and only one defeat, to Robin Soderling, in the fourth round in 2009.
In nine other attempts he has won the title nine times, keeping his hands on the trophy since 2010 and extending his winning ratio to an incredible 98.51%.
But despite all of that, the Spaniard is not seen as the favourite going into this year’s event.
Novak Djokovic is the man tipped to end Nadal’s run, with almost every bookmaker giving the Serbian shorter odds for this year’s tournament.
Nadal’s odds drifted once it became clear the number five seed could face either Djokovic, Roger Federer, Kei Nishikori or Andy Murray as early as the quarterfinals.
Add to that Djokovic’s scintillating from in 2015, winning two ATP 1000 events and the Australian Open already, and there are reasons to believe the King of Stade Roland Garros will be dethroned.
But then again, many people thought the same thing last year...
