World number one Novak Djokovic was a 6-2 6-0 winner over Milos Raonic as he won a record fifth Indian Wells Masters title in California.
Serbia's Australian Open champion took only one hour and 17 minutes to brush aside the big-serving Canadian on his way to a 27th Masters title and a 62nd career tournament success.
Judging by this victory, Djokovic's dominance of men's tennis shows little sign of waning
Raonic's hopes more or less ended when he suffered an injury at the end of the first set, but he was already heading for defeat after his serve was broken in the opening game.
"I want to thank everyone for supporting this event," said Djokovic ahead of his bid for a 28th Masters crown in Miami, a 12-day tournament that begins on Wednesday.
"I want to congratulate Milos and his team for a great week..I'm sorry he was injured.
"Finally, this is a team effort. My team is always with me. They taught me a lot of things. They are amazing people.
"I miss my wife and family back home. See you soon.
"Thanks everybody for coming today, and see you next year."
The 28-year-old Serb broke his opponent twice in the first set and three times in the second on a blazing hot afternoon at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in California.
Djokovic improved his record for the year to 22-1 as he tied Rafael Nadal with a record-equalling 27th ATP Masters 1000 crown.
Djokovic, who beat long-time rival Nadal 7-6(5) 6-2 in the semi-finals, also maintained his perfect record against Raonic as he won their sixth career meeting.
