"I don't know how it's going to happen tomorrow. Federer is at the top of his career, it's going to be very difficult," the French Open Champion said. "But I'll try to give my best to get the best result."
Nadal needed an injury time-out to rally back from a set down to beat Nikolay Davydenko 5-7 6-4 6-4 on Friday to set up the Federer duel.
"He (Federer) is playing at his best level. He is playing unbelievable," the Spaniard said.
"It's going to be very tough tomorrow but I am going to give 100 percent. I feel I am giving my best performances for a long time."
Nadal and Federer have faced each other five times in 2006, with the Spaniard winning all of their meetings except the last one at the Wimbledon final in July.
"Every match is very tough," Nadal said. "Sometimes I win, sometimes he wins.
"But tomorrow is difficult, we're playing on a hard surface. It's not the same as Wimbledon and not clay."
The World No. 2 said his leg injury was "not important" and was confident that his left knee would be fine for the match against Federer.
"The match was tough, I was running a lot and I feel little bit painful," Nadal said of the Davydenko victory.
"I called the trainer and he put me hot cream, very hot and after I was better."
Federer, meanwhile, comes into the match in perhaps the best shape in his life, having won 27 consecutive matches.
"I'm pretty happy with the way I'm playing," said the Swiss. "My serve was getting reliable on the big points and that's always a good sign."
Federer and Nalbandian face off at 11:00CET and the victor will face the winner of the 13:00 semi-final between David Nalbandian and James Blake in Sunday's final.
