IGA SWIATEK BEATS ONS JABEUR TO WIN HER 28TH MATCH IN A ROW TO DEFEND HER ROME TITLE, HER FIFTH STRAIGHT TITLE

Jabeur is putting the pressure on but Swiatek is giving is straight back. A wide forehand from Jabeur gives Swiatek a break early in the second set and it could potentially be decisive in determining the outcome of this final.

After an unforced error from Jabeur, she hits a forehand winner which gets the crowd excited. Swiatek follows up with another poor forehand and Jabeur has her first break point of the match, but she squanders it with an overzealous forehand. Swiatek reels off the next two points to hold serve, but that was much better from Jabeur. She can sense Swiatek is getting a bit frustrated with some of her own shot selections.

An utterly dominant first set from Swiatek, wrapping it up in 37 minutes. On her second set point on Jabeur's serve, Swiatek converts as the world No. 7 fails to return a ferocious forehand. Swiatek is now just a set away from her fifth straight title.

Jabeur quickly racks up two points and appears to be sensing an opportunity to break, but Swiatek fires back with two blistering forehand winners. Another winner down the line from Swiatek gives her game point and she converts by hitting a firm shot towards Jabeur's body after the Tunisian attempts a dropshot. Swiatek in control.

A couple of aces makes for Jabeur's most comfortable hold of the match so far, but there is still a lot for her to do to find a way of breaking Swiatek down.

A punishing Swiatek forehand is too much for Jabeur who can only flick it out with her backhand. Swiatek is in full control of this and is yet to face a break point from the world No. 7.
