Tennis news 2020: Wins for Heather Watson and Andy Murray at the Battle of the Brits event

Ahead of the 2021 tennis season, British players continued their warm-up event at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton, with former world number one Andy Murray, Heather Watson, Dan Evans and Fran Jones among those winning matches on day three of the Battle of the Brits Premier League of Tennis competition.
Day three of the Battle of the Brits Premier League of Tennis saw Heather Watson continue her winning streak in the competition, while Andy Murray beat Cameron Norrie for his second win at the National Tennis Centre.
British players continued their preparations for the 2021 season by playing one another in the indoor exhibition in London.
Watson had already beat Katy Dunne 6-2 6-3 and Jodie Burrage 6-1 6-4, and on Tuesday the world No 58 fought back to beat Emma Raducanu 10-2 in a super tiebreak after the duo both won their sets 6-3.
Meanwhile, Murray stayed perfect with his second Battle of the Brits win, overcoming Norrie 6-4 7-6(5) two days after beating British No 1 Dan Evans in straight sets.
Evans went on to beat Jan Choinski 7-5 6-0 on Monday, and on Tuesday he was too strong for Liam Broady, winning 6-0 6-2.
Fran Jones won a lengthy battle of two hours and 37 minutes when beating Jodie Burrage 7-5 7-6(6), while Eden Silva beat Naomi Broady 6-4 6-3 for her second win of the tournament.
Jack Draper beat Jay Clarke 6-4 6-1, Anton Matusevic beat James Ward 7-5 7-6(3), while Katy Dunne won 6-3, 3-6, 10-2 against Alicia Barnett.
