Roger Federer was beaten 3-6 7-5 7-6(7) 7-6(3) by unseeded Australian John Millman in the US Open round of 16 - and the reaction was one of total shock.
The Swiss superstar made a shock exit from Flushing Meadows after the five-times champion went down in the heat and humidity.
Federer lost 6-3 5-7 6-7 6-7 to the unheralded Australian in what was one of the most surprising upsets in the tournament's history.
No one could quite believe the result and social media was full of shocked, bewildered, and in some places delighted, tennis followers.
Without question one of the biggest shocks in tennis history.
